Job Overview

Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing financial and operational performance, ensuring accurate accounting records, and maintaining effective internal controls.

Key Accountabilities

• Coordinate closely with the BPO team for knowledge transfer.
• Learn and handle ERP transactions (AP, AR, GL, inventory, etc.).
• Support monthly closing and financial reporting.
• Assist in reconciliation processes (bank, suppliers, customers, inventory).
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and local regulations.
• Support improvement of internal controls and reporting accuracy.

Interactions and Work Relationships

Internal

  • Finance Department: for payments, Bills for collection, LCs.
  • Shipment Unit (Lebanon): for verification of invoices payment, verifying of accounting records for goods arrived, shortage, costing sheet.
  • Shipment and clearing Teams in countries for: shipment charges, purchase orders, agent reconciliation, price negotiation.
  • Accounting Teams in countries for: reconciliation, posted transactions, transfers, petty cash.
  • Sales Analysis team: for price list, customer information (When applicable).
  • Registration team in Lebanon: for payments for registered items, Certificate number (when applicable).
  • Insurance Department: for stock and shortage evaluation.
  • HR Department: Staff Salaries, Payroll reports.

External

  • Suppliers: for Invoices, payments.
  • Banks: for reconciliation, rates, payments, embark details.
  • Auditors: provide evidence, financial report (when applicable).

 

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years in accounting.

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Job Specific Skills

  • Proficiency in Arabic, English and Portuguese.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure.
  • Good Time Management.
  • Accuracy.
  • Strong Team Player.
